Your method for defeating the Jihadists is totally wrong and you will never win this battle. You can defeat the Islamists Jihadists in Mali physically by using technological and modern military equipments, but the ideological mentality of the terrorists would remain and spread to somewhere else. You are just changing the battlefield geographically and nothing more. This is a simple lesson, which, we should have learned from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The experience of last decade has clearly shown that the Broader Middle East and North Africa Initiative does not work. We should find a fundamental solution for the ideology & mindset of terrorist.
